Places to return to

  • Balboa Park — A 1,200-acre park of gardens and museums in the middle of the city. You can walk the grounds for free, and each museum sets its own admission. Official site
  • Coronado Beach and the Hotel del Coronado — Morning walks and sunset strolls on a wide beach in front of the Victorian Hotel del Coronado, a National Historic Landmark since 1977.
  • Living Coast Discovery Center — On the Chula Vista bayfront: Turtle Lagoon, shark and ray exhibits, birds of prey on Raptor Row and trails through the refuge. Official site
